its been so long since i updated something on this blog.
got nothing interesting to tell, but yah. now i got 1.
i just listened to a speech given by Imam Hamza Yusuf about element of success.
i was very pulled to listen to this talk till the end. it summarizes almost everything. every single thing that i wanted to be cleared inside my heart, for so long.
'my success is only by Allah s.w.t'
taufiq..can be achieved when your actions are in harmony with Allah's will.
when one has achieved this state, then he can be called the successor.
and the losers are those who are good in manufacturing and they think they're not going to meet their Lord.
failure will come into one's life when there are disobedience to Allah, disobedience to His Messenger and disputation among yourself.
'the central element of success is to remember the past success.'
in the battle of Badr,
He gave us the victory of Badr and we were weak. weaker than we are today. so do we think we should fail today if He gave us victory on Badr when everybody indicated that we would lose that day and became a Great Battle of Badr.
'victory is by the izhin of Allah swt,
He is the giver of power and success.'
an example of success woman in the Rasulullah's days..
a woman who no one even knew her name, who used to sweep the masjid of prophet saw. and when she died who the sahabah prayed over. and the prophet saw was not informed. when he saw that she wasnt in the masjid, he asked where is that woman? and they said, she died ya Rasulullah. the prophet said, why didnt you tell me so i could pray over her. she was successful because prophet noticed her and Allah swt noticed her.
a quote that really make me realized,
'we trust Allah. and Allah is enough as the protector.'
all this while, i kept asking for apology from people, which i believe ive done nothing sinfull to them. but still asking or begging for forgiveness. because i want to protect myself. to defend myself in the eyes of theirs. but now, i realized that there is no need for those, i just need to have strong faith and trust in Allah, and Allah is enough as my Protector.
He knows everything and i dont have to make clear anymore for what had happened. let the screen on the day of judgement tells the truth.
we cannot fix everything. that is why we are born slave.
